After visiting the recent Bauhaus exhibit now on at the MOMA, I went back to the studio more inspired than I had been in months. Among the many phenomenal items on view are wonderful color studies executed in various media, paint, pencil, watercolor, yarn, fabric and paper to name a few. I've always liked how the same color can look different when it's applied to various material, so here I've taken the new Louis Vuitton ad from the shiny pages of a W Magazine and the matte pages of a New York Times and woven them together. The blues in concentric circles make stunning little puddles. One of my studio mates thinks this would make a great rug. I think so too. I've also included the image of the back side of the advertisements as they too make interesting patterns and color combinations.
